Ever find yourself in a time of waiting? We all do at some time or another. Things are not what we want; our hearts ache. The account of Martha, Mary and Lazarus gives us hope. Jesus' words are what we need to hold onto: this is "for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified."
God always has good purposes. As we read the happenings with Lazarus, we see that our sorrow and doubt grieves our Savior. Even though He knew what was about to happen, Jesus 'groaned in His spirit." He understands the struggle of waiting; He is not angry with us but knows the pain will end in joy. So if you are in a time of waiting today...be encouraged. Jesus is at work!
