Deuteronomy: Chapter 13

Today will be my last entry for a week.  We are taking an 'internet fast' to enjoy one another more fully.  Blessings to you all!

False prophets are deadly; again God calls us to serve Him only.  Clearly, God expects us to be 'our brother's keeper' -- as Christians, a live and let live philosophy is really live and let die.  When we stand by while folks march to their death, we are not progressive philosophers accepting differences--we are guilty of the blood of the lost.  As I read of the destruction required, I am reminded that we must take great care to never leave others with the impression that our motivation is personal gain.  Nothing was to be taken from those destroyed; God's glory is to be our constant aim.  We live in a day and age where constant opportunities abound to stand for Christ--let us do so that others will be snatched from the lies of the enemy!
