Construction projects take a lot of planning. No one decides to build a house because they have seen a house and have some boards lying about. Meeting the physical needs of babies allows thier bodies to be built. Constructing a life is more than growing a body. This blog is for those who are passionate about building lives in Christ. Serving others is a great way to build the body--and our faith. Serving is simply a scaffolding on which to watch the Lord at work.

Leviticus: Chapter 25
The Lord is the owner of all--man and land! Praise God He is so worthy of our faith and trust. I believe I have read in the past that these commands for sabbatical years and the year of jubilee were never fully implemented. Certainly the 70 year captivity of Israel related to Israel's failure to give the land a rest. God cares about us entering His rest; He cares about a balance of wealth, and He cares about stewardship of the land. We will be refreshed, all needs met and the earth cared for if we honor God by heeding His instructions. McGee does indeed point out that these commands were for agricultural Israel--and do not directly transfer to 21st century America. However, the principles transfer: we are His tenants! He is worthy of our trust and obedience!
